Job Summary:

The Director, Production will lead and oversee all aspects of the pharmaceutical

manufacturing operations. This includes ensuring cGMP compliance, production planning,

quality assurance coordination, continuous process improvement, and team leadership.

The role is critical in achieving production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and

regulatory compliance. Manage 27 indirect and 6 direct reports. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day production activities ensuring adherence to production schedules,
  • quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain GMP and SOP compliance across all manufacturing areas.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC, Engineering, R&D, and Supply Chain teams for smooth
  • plant operations.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
  • Lead investigations on deviations, OOS, OOT, and implement CAPAs.
  • Ensure safety standards and EHS policies are followed consistently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to optimize

processes.

  • Mentor and develop production staff and ensure high performance and motivation.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Participate in audits (regulatory and client) and ensure audit readiness.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least

7 years in a management role.

  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements (USFDA, MHRA, etc.), and
  • production technologies.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and team management abilities.

Salary commensurate with experience plus a lump sum for simple relocation expenses
